Design - digital Artwork specifications
1. Artwork should be supplied CAMERA READY i.e. finished designs,
ready to run to PDF files.
2. All images used in artwork must be supplied in CMYK, TIFF
or EPS files, with a resolution of 300dpi, at the size you want
them printed.
3. All fonts used in EPS files should either be converted to
curves / outlines or the fonts supplied with job.
4. Printed proofs must be sent with every job.
5. Artwork can be sent on ZIP100 Disks or CDRs, or portable removable
discs Alternatively files of up to 15 MB can be emailed. E-mailed
files should be compressed using STUFFIT or DISC DOUBLER (for
Mac) or WINZIP (for PC).
Please note that Hiltongrove Ltd is not responsible for
the safety or return of any supplied artwork discs or materials
so please ensure that before you send any items you have a safety
copy.
6. All artwork must be paginated where applicable, set up in
printers pairs and at the exact page size with 3mm bleed all
the way round. NB. Onbody artwork to be supplied without bleed.
7. Camera ready artwork can be sent in the following design programs:
ILLUSTRATOR, QUARK XPRESS, PHOTOSHOP, INDESIGN (for Mac) or PHOTOSHOP,
FREEHAND, QUARK XPRESS (for PC). If you want to send in artwork
that is partly ready, please phone first to confirm that the
package you are sending it in is compatible with ours.
8. Iris or Cromalin proofs are available at £50 + VAT per
A4 sheet or £65 + VAT per A3 sheet. Unless Cromalin or
Iris proofs are supplied or run, neither Hiltongrove or our suppliers,
will accept any responsibility for any discrepancies in colour,
shade or design.
If the
above specifications are not followed, Hiltongrove cannot guarantee
optimum quality printing.
